Starter, Introductory and Instant Ink Cartridges
We don’t buy starter or introductory cartridges. These are low-yield cartridges that came with your machine when it was purchased, and they differ from regular retail cartridges. Their labels read “starter,” “introductory” or “instant ink.”
How to Tell If a Cartridge Is OEM
An OEM cartridge is made by the original manufacturer of the machine it’s meant for, such as HP, Xerox, Canon, Sharp, Lexmark or Panasonic. If the box says the cartridge was made by a different company than the printer’s manufacturer, it’s almost certainly remanufactured. Most remanufacturers also print the words “remanufactured” or “for use in…” on their boxes and cartridges.
